TITLE: General Laborer

LOCATION: 5338 Route 474 Ashville NY 14710

COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time – 40 hours/week

WORK SCHEDULE:

During the following hours of operation:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday as needed 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

JOB OVERVIEW:

Scrap metal yard located in Ashville, NY seeks a General Laborer to handle day to day tasks in the yard. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Material purchase entries, including weighing truck in/out, verifying accounts/prices
Creating and maintaining all outbound documents
Sorting various metals by grade and preparing outbound loads
Process material using various forms of equipment
Provide excellent customer service
Assist with yard projects as assigned
Cut/Torch material to size

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail as well as an efficient, hardworking, and dependable attitude.
General Computer Knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
Ability to work with little or no supervision, are flexible and a team player
Detail Oriented
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Heavy Equipment Operation experience helpful; will train right candidate

FULL BENEFITS:
